The Maru pendant lamp, created 1980 by product designer and manufacturer Ingo Maurer himself, got its name from the Japanese word “maru”, meaning “round”, and that is exactly what this suspension lamp is. It is made up of a shade of Japanese paper, strung on thin metal cords. This way the lamp seems almost weightless. A red led ring serves as counter weight and for adjusting the suspension height.
