For the motifs of the Key Rings, Dutch designer Hella Jongerius took inspiration from iconic images in Vitra’s early and more recent history: the elephant and the house. Back in the 1940s, Charles and Ray Eames created a playful decorative object modelled after an elephant, which Vitra reissued several years ago.
