The Ray S Suspension Light features a chrome plated metal structure and a lathe produced, drum shaped shade. The painted white inner surface of the shade is paired with an opal, blown glass diffuser. Light is diffused by the glass and reflects off in the inside of the shade, producing a generous amount of ambient light. In the grey glass model, the entire shade emits diffused light.
